Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a proactive Document Controller for a major rail project in Australia. You will own daily control of drawings, specifications and project records, build the control system, and train users while working from the Fortitude Valley office and relocating to the Sunshine Coast in February 2027.

You will support the Lead Document Controller, audit records, and ensure compliance with WHS and rail safety.

Qualifications

• Essential: proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and email
• Relevant administrative qualification or equivalent experience
• Preferred: document control on large scale construction projects
• Preferred: experience with the RIB CX system
• Willingness to complete a rail safety induction where required

Responsibilities

• Control and distribute drawings, specifications and plans so teams use current versions
• Check incoming documents against transmittals and raise discrepancies with senders
• Build and maintain the document register and document control procedures
• Track subcontractor shop drawings through consultant review and approval
• Manage project software configuration and train internal and external users
• Audit records, archive project documents and report on document activity
• Comply with WHS and rail safety requirements and complete the required induction
