Good Counsel Primary School seeks an energetic Leader of Diversity to work with the Principal and leadership team in creating an inclusive Catholic learning community. You will coordinate Diversity Teachers and School Learning Officers to support students with diverse needs and to plan responsive teaching strategies.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, collaboration with specialists, effective communication with families, and a commitment to child safety.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications in Education.
• Experience in Learning and Teaching.
• Skills in interpersonal relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ability to facilitate, delegate and consult.
• Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.
• Experience with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Diversity leadership in whole-school initiatives and address diverse student needs.
• Plan and implement teaching strategies and programs for diverse learners.
• Coordinate support provided by Diversity Teachers and School Learning Officers.
• Communicate with parents as key partners in student outcomes.
• Liaise with visiting Therapists and Inclusive Education Teachers for student support.
• Collaborate with the Principal and leadership team on oversight and direction.
