Job summary

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd invites applications for a Learning Diversity Leader to promote inclusive teaching and support staff in meeting diverse student needs in line with the Catholic ethos and MACS Vision for Instruction and Engagement.

The role leads differentiated teaching, coordinates PLPs and NCCD processes, and collaborates with staff and external professionals to monitor progress and wellbeing across the school.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Catholic education and the faith life of the school.
• Teaching leadership in learning diversity or inclusive education.
• Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, differentiation, explicit instruction and evidence-based interventions.
• Understanding of NCCD requirements, reasonable adjustments and personalised learning.
• Strong organisational skills coordinating Learning Support Officers, managing timetables and facilitating PSG meetings.
• Ability to analyse data to improve student outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with staff, families and external professionals.
• Commitment to child safety, student wellbeing and ongoing professional learning.
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Hold RE accreditation or willingness to do so.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusive teaching and align with Catholic ethos of the school.
• Lead differentiated teaching across the school.
• Support staff to implement explicit instruction, reasonable adjustments and evidence-based interventions.
• Coordinate Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs), NCCD processes and student support documentation.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Officers, manage timetables and coordinate support to meet student needs.
• Organise and facilitate PSG meetings each term with families, teachers and external professionals.
• Analyse assessment data to identify learning needs and monitor progress.
• Build staff capacity through collaboration, coaching and professional learning.
• Promote student wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and child safety.
