Job summary

Zinfra is seeking a hands-on Lineworker to join our team at the Tullamarine depot, supporting the No Go Zone program across the Jemena network. The role involves field operations, public engagement, route surveys and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include installing warning devices, routing permits, performing switching on LV/HV networks and interpreting drawings. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III ESI in Distribution and a current VIC Electrical licence.
• Current Australian drivers licence is required.
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White/Blue/Red card) is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove No Go Zone visual warning devices.
• Issue permits to work.
• Carrying out switching on LV and HV networks.
• Engaging with and advising the public on No Go Zone requirements.
• Study and interpret technical drawings and network line diagrams.
• Complete route surveys for Over Dimensional Transport and provide escorts.
• Assist the Electrical Network Operators and other Work Groups, as required.
• Undertake the construction and maintenance of electricity distribution and/or transmission networks in accordance with Company Policies, Quality Systems and HSE procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking a Lineworker to join our team based at our Tullamarine depot, supporting the broader No Go Zone team in delivering critical work packages across the Jemena network.

This is a hands-on and varied role that offers the opportunity to work across network operations, public engagement, route surveys, switching activities, and the installation of No Go Zone warning devices.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

• Hold a Certificate III ESI in Distribution and a current VIC Electrical licence
• Current Australian drivers licence
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White/Blue/Red card)
• RSO Certificate and DS Certificate (desirable)
• Experience within an electrical maintenance environment
• Working in high-risk environments
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with customers
• Demonstrated ability to recognise and solve problems in the workplace
• Proven ability to work productively as part of a wider team while being able to work independently at times
• A safety focused attitude
