Job summary

stonekin in Byron Bay is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Store Operator to own the physical side of the business, from stock to the shop floor. You’ll handle orders, fulfilment, packing, stock accuracy, and the in-store experience on day-to-day basis.

You’ll work independently, be organised, and comfortable on your feet, with experience in warehouse or retail operations and tools like Gorgias. The role combines warehouse duties with customer service and storefront duties within a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience across warehouse, fulfilment, or retail operations.
• Genuinely organised: a system for everything, and the discipline to keep it.
• Hands-on and comfortable on your feet through the day.
• Confident with inventory and customer-service tools (Gorgias or similar), or quick to pick them up.
• Warm and steady with customers, in person and over email.
• Able to work independently and own the day end to end.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and dispatch all online orders
• Receive and manage incoming deliveries
• Prepare, pack, and coordinate influencer gifting orders, pick-ups, and collections, timed with the marketing team
• Implement packing changes for promotions (inserts, seasonal swaps)
• Prepare the warehouse and shop ahead of sale periods
• Keep the warehouse organised, clean, and running to a clear system
• Manage physical inventory and stock accuracy, working closely with the digital / e-commerce team
• Restock tubs and shelves; maintain the stock organisation systems
• Monitor and reorder consumables (tape, packaging, supplies) so materials never run short
• Open, close, and run the shop on shift
• Hold the in-store experience to a consistent standard: presentation, cleanliness, lighting, incense, music
• Support in-store customers
• Manage and respond to Google reviews; flag poor reviews or escalations to the team
• Support and liaise with the Customer Service Manager where needed
• Respond to customer service emails
• Run a clean handover between working days so the operation never loses its place
