Job summary

Salt Shift is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Burleigh Heads operation. You’ll lead from the floor, work with the ops team across stock planning, inbound freight, and daily priorities to keep orders moving efficiently.

You’ll be hands-on on heavy days, performing picking/packing with your team and driving improvements to packing standards, layout, and processes. A strong focus on accuracy and safety will be essential.

Job description

We need a Warehouse Supervisor to run our Burleigh Heads floor and lead the team that gets our product out the door.

This is a working leadership role. On the heavy days you're in the aisles picking and packing with your team. On every other day you're fixing the reason those days got heavy. If you want a desk and a clipboard, this isn't it.

Every order we send is a customer deciding whether we're worth buying from again. You own that moment.

You'll report to the General Manager and work across stock planning, inbound freight, and daily priorities with the wider ops team.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily despatch across retail, wholesale, and direct to consumer, including cut off times and carrier handovers
• Get orders out same day without letting pick accuracy slip to do it
• Own the error rate. Track mispicks, short shipments, and damage in transit, then kill the cause
• Hold the packing standard so product turns up looking like it cost what we charged for it
• Build wholesale and distributor orders to spec, including pallets, labelling, and booking requirements
• Handle Amazon FBA replenishment and interstate and international 3PL transfers, including prep, labelling, and carton compliance
• Lead a fast paced, growing team across picking, packing, receiving, and production support
• Roster to real volume, not habit, and have cover locked in before peaks like BFCM and Christmas
• Train new starters properly. Set the standard, show the standard, hold the standard
• Run tight floor comms. Priorities in the morning, honest handover at the end
• Rebuild pick paths, slotting, and bench layout so the fast movers sit where the hands are
• Write down how things are done so the warehouse doesn't live in one person's head
• Fix receiving so stock is counted, put away, and live in the system the day it lands
• Own stocktake and cycle count accuracy, and chase variances until you know why
• Find where we're bleeding time or money on packaging, consumables, and freight, and bring us the fix
• Keep the site safe, tidy, and compliant across racking, plant, manual handling, and chemical storage

About you

You've run a warehouse floor or led a team in eCommerce, wholesale, 3PL, or distribution

You lead from the floor, not from a chair

You care about orders going out right, not just going out

You spot a bottleneck and actually do something about it

You know your way around a WMS or ERP and you're comfortable with inventory data

You hold a current LF forklift licence, or you're ready to get one

You say what you mean, to your team and to everyone upstream of them

You move fast, take ownership, and don't need chasing
