Job summary

Fencing and Gate Centre is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager in Sydney to lead a small team and ensure accurate and timely loading of orders for delivery.

You will oversee the picking, packing, and loading of powder-coated goods, maintain dispatch records, and drive safety and process improvements in a hands-on management role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing dispatch or warehouse operations.
• Hands-on experience with finished powder-coated goods preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Forklift licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of dispatch and warehouse staff (5 total).
• Coordinate daily loading schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Hands-on involvement in picking, packing, and loading finished, powder-coated goods.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety standards.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce errors.
• Load rigid and semi-trucks for deliveries to branches.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to oversee our busy dispatch area. You’ll lead a small team to ensure our trucks are loaded accurately and on schedule, working hands-on alongside staff to pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a team of dispatch and warehouse staff (5 total)

Coordinate daily loading schedules to meet delivery deadlines

Hands-on involvement in picking, packing, and loading finished, powder-coated goods

Maintain accurate dispatch records and paperwork

Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety standards

Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce errors

Load Rigid and Semi Trucks for deliveries to branches

Hands on management role

Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Every second Saturday (7am - 1pm OT)

Key Requirements

Proven experience managing dispatch or warehouse operations

Hands-on experience with finished powder-coated goods preferred

Strong leadership and team-management skills

Excellent organisational and time-management abilities

Forklift licence MUST

High attention to detail and commitment to quality
