Job summary

Polyweld is seeking a hands-on coordinator to manage dispatch and stores, ensuring customer orders leave on time. You will build strong relationships with staff and the GM to keep work on schedule.

Based in Melbourne, this role requires experience in dispatch or stores, strong organisational skills, and a current forklift licence. Reading technical drawings is also required to accurately handle stock and orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch, stores or a similar hands-on role.
• Organised, reliable and able to work well with people.
• Holds a current forklift licence.
• Can read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Managing dispatch and stores.
• Working with staff, the GM and others to keep work on schedule for promised dispatch dates.
• Keeping all storage areas well organised, clearly labelled and tidy.
• Learning the existing stock storage locations and labelling arrangements.
• Working with staff to deal with items that are out of place or abandoned.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Booking collection of outward goods.
• Inspecting and putting away inward goods, checking that quality, quantity and price match the order and technical drawings.
• Keeping accurate stock records and an orderly file of component drawings.
