Job summary

Danny Met Sally is expanding! We’re opening a new Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Sawtell, and we are seeking experienced, compassionate Support Workers to join our team.

In this role you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to a participant moving into the home, assisting with ADLs, including personal care, medication assistance, community access, and other individual support needs.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and experienced in disability support.
• Certificate III in Disability or related qualification is required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s Licence and a car with comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is mandatory.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate is required.
• Manual Handling certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Medication Administration Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Flexible availability across a 24/7 roster and ability to work overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to a participant moving into the SIL home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and medication assistance.
• Support community access and other individual support needs.
• Work as part of a compassionate team in a new Sawtell SIL home.

About the Opportunity

Danny Met Sally is expanding! We’re excited to be opening a new Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Sawtell, and are seeking experienced, compassionate Support Workers to join our team.

In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to a participant moving into the home, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, medication assistance, community access, and other individual support needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate and experienced Support Workers with flexible availability who are committed to making a genuine difference in someone's life while helping to establish a supportive and welcoming new home.

Due to the participant's background, only Female Support Workers are required for this position. This is recognised as a genuine discrimination exemption and occupation qualification and is authorised under (Part 3, Division 2, Section 31 (1), (2) (a-i), (3) & (4) of the NEW SOUTH WALES Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).

About You

In addition to our values, our support staff require mandatory compliance:

• 6+ months minimum experience as a Support Worker
• Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Certificate III in Disability or related industry)
• Driver’s Licence & Car with Comprehensive Insurance
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Flexible availability across a 24/7 roster and ability to work overnights (passive or active)
