Job summary

Enhanced Lifestyles is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, SA. You will provide daily living assistance, personal care, and community participation support to customers with complex needs.

Roles include varied shifts, including overnight passive shifts, with permanent part-time and casual contracts available. Training and development are offered to support career growth in disability services.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (or willing to enrol).
• Experience with complex behaviour management and behaviour support plans is essential.
• Experience with Medication Administration, PEG - Enteral Nutrition, Dysphagia and Catheter is desirable, but further training will be provided.
• Understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding standards.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling Certificates.
• NDIS workers screening and South Australian Working with Children screenings.
• NDIS Online Modules.

About the Role

• Locations Available:
  • Ascot Park
  • Brighton
  • Dover Gardens
  • Edwardstown
• Shifts – varied shift times available over a 24 hour, 7 days a week roster including passive sleepovers
• Permanent part time and casual contracts available

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality support to customers with complex high needs
• Daily living activity assistance
• Personal care
• Community participation
• Commitment to at least 1 overnight passive shift per week

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and willing to transport customers for community participation either in your own, or company vehicle
• Previous experience utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation
• Able to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously
• Demonstrated experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and a sound knowledge of supporting people with challenging behaviours is essential
• Passion, professionalism and integrity within their role
• A willingness to work with participants, fellow staff, and relevant professionals to support the participants goals
