Job summary

Care1 in Sydney is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to provide disability support and care to a recipient in Prairiewood. Training will be fully funded, and you will join a team dedicated to People First care.

Shifts: two 3-hour blocks per day; 9am-12pm, with flexible afternoon times. We value attitude and willingness to learn, even if you have no prior experience, and offer on-the-job training and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in Australia (e.g. passport/visa/birth certificate)
• Current valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before employment
• NDISWC (NDIS Worker Check)
• Working with Children Check
• Experience providing complex personal care
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disabilities or similar is desirable
• Previous healthcare or community welfare experience is an advantage
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
• Supporting clients who use personal equipment/aid, including walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, hoists
• Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
• Social activities: transporting clients to appointments, shopping and planned social activities

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for providing comfort to our clients by assisting with the requirements and activities of daily living as set out in their individual care plans. This may include:

• Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
• Supporting clients who use personal equipment/aid, this may include walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, hoists
• Monitoring the well‑being of clients and reporting on their progress
• Social Activities: transporting clients to their appointments, shopping, any planned social activity.
