Job summary

Care1 is seeking enthusiastic and reliable disability support workers to assist clients in Taree, NSW. On‑the‑job training is fully funded, and entry is welcome even without industry experience.

You’ll help with daily living, personal care, light domestic tasks, and transport to activities, while ensuring wellbeing and safety. A genuine desire to support people improves quality of life and community connection.

Qualifications

• You must have passion for care and willingness to learn.
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before employment.
• NDISWC and Working with Children Check are preferred.
• A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort to clients by assisting with daily living as per care plans.
• Assist with personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, medication support.
• Provide domestic assistance: light cleaning, laundry, meal prep.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress.
• Meet regulatory requirements like NDIS and WHS as applicable.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for providing comfort to our clients by assisting with the requirements and activities of daily living as set out in their individual care plans. This may include:

• Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
• Supporting clients who use personal equipment/aid, this may include walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, hoists
• Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
• Social Activities: transporting clients to their appointments, shopping, any planned social activity.
• Right to Work in Australia such as passport, visa, birth certificate
• Current valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before employment
• NDISWC

• Experience working with clients who display challenging and complex behaviours
• Experience providing complex personal care
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disabilities or similar is desirable (willingness and the ability to obtain is essential)
• Previous healthcare or community welfare experience is an advantage along with a genuine desire to support people to live a higher quality of life will be highly regarded.
