Job summary

Care1 is seeking enthusiastic and reliable team members to provide high-quality disability and care support to recipients in Moss Vale. The organisation offers funded training to develop skills, with a focus on attitude and willingness to learn, even for newcomers to the industry.

Role includes personal care, daily living support and following care plans. Shifts are Monday 9am–1pm and Thursday 9am–1pm, with weekly pay, flexible schedules and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care and daily living activities.
• Willingness to obtain required checks and licenses.
• Comfort with learning and following care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, domestic tasks and medication support.
• Support clients in daily activities and accompanying appointments.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress to supervisors.
• Follow individual care plans and maintain client safety.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for providing comfort to our clients by assisting with the requirements and activities of daily living as set out in their individual care plans. This may include:

• Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
• Supporting clients who use personal equipment/aid, this may include walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, hoists
• Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
• Social Activities: transporting clients to their appointments, shopping, any planned social activity.
• Mental Health Experience
• Right to Work in Australia such as passport, visa, birth certificate
• Current valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before employment
• NDISWC
• Working with Children Check
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disabilities or similar is desirable (willingness and the ability to obtain is essential)
• Experience working with clients who display challenging and complex behaviours
• Experience providing complex personal care
• Previous healthcare or community welfare experience is along with a genuine desire to support people to live a higher quality of life will be highly regarded.
