Job summary

Care1 in Australia provides disability support services across NSW and beyond. We are seeking reliable team members to assist care recipients in Flinders and surrounds with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility support.

You will work in a friendly, supportive environment with weekly pay, flexible shifts, funded training, and opportunities to develop within the Care1 team. A genuine commitment to People First is valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or equivalent.
• NDIS Worker Check is desirable.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain before employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living per care plans.
• Provide personal care including grooming, bathing and medication assistance.
• Support mobility, domestic tasks, transport to appointments and social activities.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for providing comfort to our clients by assisting with the requirements and activities of daily living as set out in their individual care plans. This may include:

• Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
• Supporting clients who use personal equipment/aid, this may include walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, hoists
• Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
• Social Activities: transporting clients to their appointments, shopping, any planned social activity.

• Right to Work in Australia such as passport, visa, birth certificate
• Current valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before employment
• NDISWC
• Working with Children Check
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disabilities or similar is desirable (willingness and the ability to obtain is essential)
• Experience working with clients who display challenging and complex behaviours
• Experience providing complex personal care
• Previous healthcare or community welfare experience is along with a genuine desire to support people to live a higher quality of life will be highly regarded.
