Job summary

National Networks Plus is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker for a young, non-verbal female client in Brisbane North. The role is casual with early morning, late afternoon, and weekend shifts, offering flexible scheduling and nationwide placement options for future opportunities.

Requirements include Cert III in Individual Support, First Aid/CPR, NDIS screening, and a valid Working with Children check. Drivers license may be required for community access support.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) required.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willing to obtain.
• Current Working with Children check (paid) or willing to obtain.
• Recent experience in a similar role and 2 professional references.
• Unrestricted Australian Driver's License if community access is provided; car insurance if using own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to the client.
• Transport the client to appointments and community activities.
• Assist with light domestic duties and social support.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the client and stakeholders.
• Follow care plans and document interactions accurately.
• Respond to crisis situations and liaise with authorities as needed.
• Maintain records of interactions and program outcomes.

About our Client and Support Required : We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join us as a casual staff for our young non-verbal female client. Experience working with young people will be highly regarded.

Monday to Friday â 06:00am â 10:00am

03:00pm â 07:00pm

Saturday â Times to be confirmed

(Shift times may change if requested by client)

Duties include:

• Providing personal care assistance
• Transporting the client for community access and any appointments
• Assisting with light domestic duties and social support.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support.
• Follow established care plans.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
• Respond to crisis situations, offering immediate support and collaborating with appropriate authorities.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, assessments, and program outcomes.
• Work positively and collaborate with team members to ensure the highest care and support provided.

Requirements:

• Cert III in Individual support or another relevant field. (Disability)
• Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
• Current (Paid) Working with Children check (or willing to obtain)
• Recent and relevant experience in a similar role
• 2 professional references
• Unrestricted Australian Driver's License (required if providing community access support, driving facility vehicles)
• Comprehensive Car Insurance (or willing to obtain - required if using own vehicle for work purposes)
