Job summary

Southern Cross Community Healthcare seeks reliable disability support workers in Bathurst, NSW, to assist a 51-year-old male with spinal cord injury at home. Duties include ventilation management, personal care, medication administration and documentation.

You will be supported by qualified professionals and receive ongoing training to excel in the role. Requirements include NDIS screening, First Aid, WWCC, a Certificate III in Ageing & Disability, and a valid driver’s license with car

Qualifications

• Good English speaking is required.
• Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing.
• Current driver's licence, vehicle registration and your own car with insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
• Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory).
• Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Ventilation and Tracheostomy management.
• Full personal care.
• Medication administration.
• Continence management.
• RIG feeding.
• Assistance with Allied health tasks.
• Cough assist machine.
• Domestic tasks.
• Documentation and reporting.
