Job summary

Southern Cross Community Healthcare in Maroubra NSW is seeking a reliable Disability Support Worker to provide full care for a ventilated 31-year-old male with a spinal cord injury, enabling him to live at home with family. You will work weekdays and weekends 8am–4pm, with training and support from healthcare professionals.

Requirements include current references, NSW driver’s license with insured car, NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain, First Aid, Working With Children Check,

Qualifications

• Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
• Current references
• Current driver's licence and your own car with insurance
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory)
• Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Ventilation and tracheostomy management
• Medication administration
• Assistance with Allied health tasks
• Domestic tasks
• Documentation and reporting
