Job description

Disability Support Worker - Southern Highlands

A fun loving, caring and compassionate support worker is required for a female with a spinal cord injury based in Wilton NSW. This role requires someone who is committed, flexible and ideally located within the region.

Experience supporting individuals within their home or in a similar setting will be highly regarded.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Personal care: including bowel care, skin management, showering, hoisting and transfers, medication management
• General domestic, cleaning and community duties (e.g. shopping, appointments).
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance.

Current Casual Shifts on offer are but not limited to:

• Fortnightly on Thursdays and Sundays: 7am-10:30am
• Weekly on Fridays and Saturdays –7am – 10:30am

Flexibility is essential as these hours are subject to change

Fill-in work available in the event of staff absences.

Mandatory requirements:

• Working with Children Check
• Current unrestricted divers license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to be flexible
• Must be reliable due to the nature of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Cert 4 in Community Care / Disability Services

Anyone living locally with a background in disability support will be considered highly desirable.
