Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS) is actively seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to assist a female participant on Sydney's Northern Beaches. You will provide person-centred care, domestic help and social support, following a care plan and helping with community access to enhance independence and wellbeing.

Disability Support Worker – Northern Beaches (Dee Why NSW 2099)

Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS ) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sydney's Northern Beaches.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can provide person-centred support to a participant with complex needs, helping maintain independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.

About This Role:

• Support to a female participant.
• Providing personal care, domestic assistance and social support.
• Following the care plan accurately.
• Assisting with community access and participation in activities.
• Supporting safe routines while promoting the participant’s wellbeing.

About You:

• Female carer (participant's preference).
• Driving.
• Comfortable driving the participant and their dog.
• Must be comfortable around pets and genuinely enjoy dogs.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Experience supporting people with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to participants with acquired brain injury, non-verbal communication needs, vision impairment, dementia, physical disabilities, schizophrenia and complex or challenging behaviours.
• A professional, reliable, and punctual work ethic.
• Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude.

Shifts Available (Ongoing):

• Wednesday: 9:00am – 2:30pm.
• Wednesday: 9:00am – 2:30pm.

Additional shifts may be available in the future, subject to needs and roster availability.
