Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS) is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sydney’s NSW area. You will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, helping maintain independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

This role suits workers seeking extra shifts and flexible hours across weekdays and weekends. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, transport, social activities, and community access, with on-call availability including public holidays.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with excellent communication skills and client empathy.
• Experience handling clients with complex needs and high-care requirements.
• Previous DSP/AIN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to NDIS clients and maintain independence.
• Assist with daily living, personal care, transport, and community access.
• Support clients at appointments and during social activities.

Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can provide person-centred support to a participant with complex needs, helping maintain independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.

Essential Requirements:

• Must be open to accepting 2-hour services.
• Must be available across weekdays and weekends.
• Full Australian driver's licence and own vehicle.
• Comprehensive car insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certificates.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).

What We're Looking For:

• Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with manual handling, high-care support, and challenging behaviours.
• Prior experience as a Disability Support Worker or AIN.
• Initiative to support clients in achieving their goals and building community connections.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients.
• Assist with daily living, personal care, domestic tasks, transport, and community access.
• Support clients attending appointments and engaging in social activities.
• Plan and accompany clients on outings and activities.
• Work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays (on-call flexibility required).
• Perform Disability Support Worker and Assistant in Nursing (AIN) duties.
