Job summary

Calm Tree is seeking experienced male and female Support Workers to assist participants across the North Gold Coast area (Nerang to Pimpama), providing In-Home Support and/or Community Access.

You’ll work to support participants to build independence, confidence and capacity, with duties including daily living skills, medication support, community participation, and helping participants achieve personal goals.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced male and female Support Workers with relevant disability support experience.
• Availability to provide In-Home Support and/or Community Access across the North Gold Coast area, from Nerang to Pimpama.
• Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

Job description

We are seeking experienced male and female Support Workers to support several participants across the North Gold Coast area (Nerang to Pimpama), providing In-Home Support and/or Community Access.

We’re looking for Support Workers who understand that quality, person-centered support builds independence, confidence and capacity. You’ll bring proven disability support experience, together with a strong understanding of capacity building, choice and control.

Working alongside participants, you’ll assist with daily living skills, medication support, community participation, social and recreational activities, healthy lifestyle choices and supporting participants to achieve their individual goals.

The support needs of our participants vary, with some roles involving support for participants with complex needs. Support Workers will be matched with participants based on their experience, skills, availability and the individual support requirements of each participant.

Role & Availability Requirements

Qualified and experienced male and female Support Workers with relevant disability support experience.

Availability to provide In-Home Support and/or Community Access across the North Gold Coast area, from Nerang to Pimpama.

Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

In-Home Support and Community Access shift times vary according to participants’ individual support needs and activities.

Flexibility is essential, as rostered hours may vary in response to participants’ support needs.
