Job summary

CareMatch Pty Ltd in Palm Beach, QLD, seeks a dedicated Personal Carer / Disability Support Worker to assist clients with disability in-home, including wheelchair users and those with SCI, MS, and MND. Shifts include mornings and evenings with flexible rosters across Palm Beach QLD 4221 and surrounding areas.

The role focuses on person-centred support, personal care, and community access, with training provided. Casual award wages apply with penalties on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability or aged care support (preferred but not essential).
• A caring and empathetic approach.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training.
• Experience in mental health support and managing behavioural incidents.
• Willing to learn and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred supports in accordance with participant support plans, promoting choice, dignity and independence.
• Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility and transfers.
• Deliver high-intensity daily personal activities where appropriately trained and assessed as competent, including catheter care, bowel care, transfers and pressure injury prevention.
• Support participants to access the community, attend appointments, employment, education and recreational activities.
• Assist with meal preparation, household tasks and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Observe and report changes in participant wellbeing and promptly elevate concerns.
• Complete accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports and required care forms.

Personal Carer / Disability Support Worker – Palm Beach QLD and surrounding suburbs including Xmas/New Year covers.

Morning and Afternoon shifts: 7:00am - 9:00am, 8:00am - 10:00am, 6:00am - 9:00am, 8:00am - 12:00pm/13:00pm - 15:00pm

Evening shifts 18:00pm - 21:30pm

We’re looking for a caring and reliable Support Workers to assist participants who are living with a disability, specifically wheelchair users, who have a Spinal Cord Injury, MS and MND

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Carers / Support Workers to assist client/s who are living with physical disability. The role involves providing in home support with daily living activities and personal care in a respectful and professional manner. Along with community access.

Shift Times: Morning shifts, 6:00am - 9:00am, 8:00am - 12:00pm/13:00pm - 15:00pm and Evening shifts 18:00pm - 21:30pm

Days: Variable roster (flexibility required) and over the Christmas and January holidays.

Additional Work: More shifts may be available with other participants in the Gold Coast. We also operate OSS (Onsite Shared Supports) where we support residents in an SDA building during the days and overnights (Sleepover)
