Job summary

Sydney Maxlife Care in Seven Hills, Sydney, is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a team of Disability Support Workers in a SIL house. You will ensure high standards of care and compliance with NDIS Practice Standards.

The role requires at least three years of supervision, relevant certifications, excellent communication, and the ability to manage rosters and complex client needs. A driver’s licence is desirable; company supports professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience supervising or leading a team of Disability Support Workers in a SIL or group home setting.
• Experience supporting clients with complex needs, including psychosocial disability, physical disability, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder and complex behaviours.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent. Certificate IV or Diploma is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, families and team members.
• Proactive, solutions-focused and able to manage competing priorities.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leading, supervising and developing your team of Disability Support Workers.
• Escalating concerns, incidents and complex matters to your Area Manager promptly and accurately.
• Supporting the Roster Coordinator to build and manage rosters four to six weeks in advance.
• Ensuring all client care plans, including Behaviour Support Plans, are followed consistently and reviewed when client needs change.
• Building strong relationships with clients, families, Support Coordinators and allied health professionals.
• Maintaining compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, relevant legislation and Maxlife Care policies, including mandatory reporting.
• Providing hands‑on support to clients as required, including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and daily living activities.
