Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Melbourne is seeking a Disability Support Leader to head two SIL homes in Cranbourne and Cheltenham. The role focuses on building high-performing teams, ensuring quality person-centred supports, and expanding services in South Melbourne with support from allied health professionals.

This 12-month maximum term, full-time position requires leadership experience in disability services, a Diploma in Social & Community Services, and a current Australian Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership position within the delivery of services to people with a disability.
• Diploma in relevant Social & Community Services or relevant experience
• Current Australian unrestricted Drivers Licence
• Established influencing and negotiation skills
• Ability to think creatively and use initiative

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and provide advice and supervision to achieve positive outcomes
• Ensure staff are skilled and knowledgeable in the delivery of supports
• Collaborate, develop and maintain person centred support approaches
• Manage the running of services including budgets, compliance and staff ratios
• Collaborate with key business partners to ensure consistent delivery of a positive service
• Manage, monitor and report on incidents and complaints
• Participate in an on-call roster
