Job summary

The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety in Queensland seeks a seasoned Clinical Team Leader to supervise Clinicians and ensure high‑quality client services within the FDS, while maintaining compliance with the Forensic Disability Act and the Human Rights Act 2019.

You will lead development and review of Individual Development Plans, coordinate assessments, and provide expert guidance on clinical support plans.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Allied Health or Human Services, Social Work or Behaviour Sciences.
• Experience in staff supervision.
• Possession of a C class driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Clinicians to ensure high‑quality client services within the FDS and compliant with relevant acts.
• Monitor staff training needs and organise essential training.
• Provide constructive feedback on clinicians' work practices for development.
• Lead ACP/IDP meetings, recruitment, performance monitoring and improvement processes.
• Lead development, implementation and review of client IDPs and interventions.
• Coordinate and report on client progress and outcome measures.
• Provide leadership on clinical support plans, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
• Undertake clinical assessments or coordinate assessments with internal/external staff.
• Liaise with community agencies and government departments; occasional travel may be required.
• Support transitional activities from admission to transfer and post-transition follow‑ups.
