Job summary

Qualifications

• A degree in mining-related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of fifteen years' experience in Open Pit gold mining.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience using mining packages essential.
• Familiarity with Vulcan, Surpac, Whittle, Alastri, MineMax highly desirable.
• Exposure to first principles cost modelling and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of life-of mine (LOM) Open Pit asset options to optimise value for the Australia Region.
• Align physicals with cost profiles and evaluate scenarios using value metrics.
• Drive value creation and continuous improvement in Open Pit planning.
• Manage delivery of results within business planning cycles and study timelines.
• Develop systems and processes to support the Open Pit Planning Department work.
• Build organisational capability within the Australia Business Unit.
• Provide Open Pit mining support to operations and sign off on reserves as needed.
• Report Open Pit Ore Reserves with competence sign-off and sign-off responsibilities.
