AngloGold Ashanti Australia is seeking a senior leader to develop robust life-of-mine plans for Open Pit assets in the Australian region. Reporting to the VP Technical Services, you will identify constraints, communicate options, and drive value through strategic planning and continuous improvement.
The role requires 15+ years in Open Pit gold mining, strong financial acumen, and the ability to travel to mine sites. Perth-based with regional travel expectations.

Reporting to the VP Technical Services, the Director Open Pit Mining, develops robust life-of-mine plans for each of the Australian Region's Open Pit assets. Identify and communicate key constraints to delivery of the mine plan and evaluate sustainable options for improvement
include leading the development and optimisation of Life-of-Mine (LOM) Open Pit asset strategies, driving value creation and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment of physical and cost profiles, delivering business planning and study outcomes, developing effective planning systems and processes, building organisational capability, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
