Ennismore seeks a Director of Finance for Hyde Melbourne Place to lead the hotel’s finances and drive profitability. You will partner with the GM and Leadership Team to oversee budgets, forecasts, and controls, ensuring compliance and strategic cost management across all departments.

You will coach a finance team, deliver insightful reporting, and collaborate with auditors and owners to maximise value while supporting day-to-day hotel operations in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Director of Finance or senior finance role in a hotel.
• Budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Job Description

Hyde Melbourne Place is looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead the hotel's finances and support business growth. Working closely with the General Manager, Ownership, and Leadership Team, you will oversee budgets, forecasts, reporting, and financial controls while helping the hotel make informed business decisions and improve profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the finance function across all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Events;
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions;

• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and internal controls;
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team;

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Director of Finance or in a senior finance role within a hotel;
• Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting;
• Experience leading and developing teams;
• Excellent communication and organisational skills;
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
• Experience working with operational teams to improve business performance;
• Good knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and reporting requirements;
• Proficient in hotel finance systems and Microsoft Excel;
• Able to build positive relationships with people at all levels of the business.
