Jones Lang LaSalle in Australia is seeking an exceptional leader to take the newly created role of Director, Head of Government Projects. You will own strategy, budget, and delivery for two key government accounts, with autonomy and strategic influence.

The role demands a commercially astute leader with deep construction or CRE experience, strong finance acumen, and the ability to manage remote locations and complex stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Director-level professional with a proven track record leading large-scale project portfolios.
• Deep technical knowledge from construction, engineering or CRE with strong commercial acumen.
• Experience managing government or public sector accounts and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong financial management skills and ability to oversee capital budgets and reporting.
• Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills with senior clients and contractors.
• Proven ability to mentor teams and drive performance in complex projects.
• Experience delivering projects in remote locations; Australian citizenship or PR may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategy, own the budget, and drive the execution of all capital works and infrastructure projects.
• Act as the principal advisor to key government clients and lead critical negotiations with internal and external partners.
• Take full accountability for the programme’s financials, multi-year capital plans, and profitability.
• Directly lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing projects team and nurture technical expertise.
• Implement and oversee robust frameworks for project delivery, quality control, and risk management.
