Job summary

Weir Group seeks a hands-on Digital Solutions Engineer to lead IoT, AI, and ML initiatives across mining equipment. The role involves designing, testing, deploying digital products, and validating new technologies at global customer sites.

You will collaborate with the Technology Product Manager and manage global digital lab spaces, ensuring robust field performance and reliability. Travel to customer locations is expected as part of field testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of industrial/mining equipment including pumps, cyclones, screens, HPGRs, and rotating equipment.
• Expertise in sensors and instrumentation, including installation and interpretation of vibration, temperature, and speed monitoring data.
• Hands-on field engineering experience with equipment testing, validation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and deployment.
• Proven product development and R&D mindset, comfortable working with new technologies and prototype validation.

Responsibilities

• Digital Solutions Execution: Develop, test, and deploy IoT/AI solutions to enhance product performance and customer experience.
• Proof of Concepts and Field Testing: Validate new technologies at customer sites with travel to locations globally.
• Collaboration with Technology Product Manager: Contribute ideas during design phase and align with company strategy.
• Digital Lab Ownership: Manage global Digital lab spaces for training, troubleshooting, R&D, and testing teams.
• Documentation and Communication: Prepare technical reports and share findings with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
