Job summary

Weir is hiring in Western Australia with a hybrid work arrangement. You will apply technical expertise to support Surface and Underground Mining Attachments and GET products, sizing equipment and preparing proposals.

The role involves site visits, collaboration with global teams, and ongoing product development to drive portfolio growth. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and 5+ years in mining equipment operation or modelling, plus experience in training and stakeholder

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years’ experience in mining equipment operation or modelling with strong GET knowledge.
Proven ability to deliver technical training and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical resource for Surface and Underground Mining Attachments products, including GET.
Provide daily technical guidance, equipment sizing, and product selection to meet customer needs.
Travel ~1/3 of the time to mining sites for site visits and customer engagement.
Own and maintain product specifications, documentation, and sales support materials.
Prepare technical and commercial quotations, tenders, and cost models.
Serve as liaison between sales, engineering, and customers; conduct site visits and training.
Coordinate warranty claims and continuous improvement initiatives.
