Job summary

Weir Software Solutions in Australia is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to evaluate, benchmark and improve LLM and agent-based AI systems across the product suite. You will develop evaluation frameworks, measure model performance and provide insights that drive reliable, high-impact AI solutions for the mining industry.

The role requires strong Python and PyTorch skills, experience deploying models to production, and the ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing machine learning or AI solutions.
• Experience in ML evaluation and benchmarking for LLM/agentic systems.
• Strong experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks.
• Experience deploying ML models into production environments.
• Advanced Python skills and familiarity with ML libraries such as NumPy, Pandas and Scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of neural networks, computer vision, natural language processing, or related AI disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related field.
