Job summary

FCC Construction Australia Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an experienced Digital Engineering lead to drive BIM coordination, model management and 4D sequencing across major projects.

You will set up digital engineering systems, standards and workflows, coordinate design information with consultants and subcontractors, and deliver visualisations and reports to stakeholders, while ensuring TfNSW DE standards compliance and data integrity on the CDE.

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital engineering on large construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of TfNSW DE standards and CDE workflows.
• Site-based role located in Sydney; able to work on TfNSW projects.

• Lead digital engineering functions across project delivery, including BIM coordination, model management and clash detection.
• Develop and maintain 4D construction sequencing models to support project planning and staging.
• Coordinate design information between consultants, interfacing contractors and project subcontractors.
• Produce visualisations and reports to communicate construction sequencing to stakeholders and clients.
• Maintain data integrity and structure across the CDE and other digital platforms.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with TfNSW DE standards and specifications.

We're seeking an experienced Digital Engineering resource to lead the function through delivery of Sydney projects.

**Please note this is a full-time site-based role in Sydney, NSW

Key aspects of this role include:

• Leading digital engineering functions across project delivery, including BIM coordination, model management and clash detection
• Developing and maintaining 4D construction sequencing models to support project planning and staging
• Working closely with the planning and scheduling team to align digital models with the project program
• Setting up digital engineering systems, standards and workflows on a new project
• Coordinating design information between consultants, interfacing contractors and project subcontractors
• Working with subcontractors and suppliers to collaborate and input their digital models
• Producing visualisations and reports to communicate construction sequencing to project stakeholders and clients
• Maintaining data integrity and structure across the Common Data Environment (CDE) and other digital platforms
• Ensuring all BIM deliverables comply strictly with Transport for NSW DE standards and specifications
• Supporting the development and handover of asset information to meet TfNSW asset management requirements
• Training the wider team in the use of digital models

About You

• Prior construction experience is essential, ideally on projects greater than $100M
• Prior Transport for NSW experience with a Tier 1 contractor is highly regarded, ideally including experience on Sydney Metro or another major rail/transport project
• Sound working knowledge of TfNSW digital engineering (DE) standards and data requirements
• Experience setting up projects and working closely with the delivery, planning and scheduling team
• Familiarity with the TfNSW Technically Assured Organisation (TAO) framework is highly regarded
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to digital delivery challenges
• Located in Sydney (site-based role)
