Singleton Council is seeking a Development Planner to assess development applications and advise on land use, zoning and compliance. The role sits in Development and Regulatory Services and offers a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week with a graded salary and vehicle allowance.

The successful candidate will hold a degree or diploma in Town Planning, have knowledge of relevant legislation and strong report writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Town Planning or relevant discipline and experience in development assessment.
• Knowledge of Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993.

Responsibilities

• Assess development applications and provide written and verbal advice on land use, zoning, and compliance.
• Prepare reports and contribute to a transparent, timely development system.
