Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Sydney CBD is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide frontline IT support across NSW and regional sites. You will troubleshoot desktop, software and hardware issues for internal colleagues and maintain devices in campus locations.

Based in Sydney, you’ll travel to regional sites and collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex issues. The role requires strong customer service, communication skills, and experience with Windows/macOS and common business apps.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop support in a busy environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support to end-users, both in-person and remotely.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and peripheral issues.
• Install and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.
• Perform desktop and application upgrades as needed.
• Maintain and manage hardware inventory.
• Provide timely and effective communication to end-users and IT management.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Support device lifecycle activities, including device builds, deployments, refreshes and decommissions.
• Utilise Intune and ServiceNow to manage requests and device support activities.
