Job summary

Total IT Global in Canberra is seeking a casual/contract IT support assistant dedicated to mobile, desktop and peripherals. You will provide 1st line support to staff, image computers, and assist with basic network devices while documenting issues.

This role is in person, Australia-based, with a salary between 55,000 and 60,000 AUD per year. You will back up local data, decommission old devices with data wiping as required, and coordinate with Service Desk teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Backup and restore procedures for local data.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line IT support to staff with desktop Computers, applications and related technology.
• Assist staff with technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobiles, printers and basic network devices, testing, repairing and documenting issues.
• Reimage computers/hard drives.
• Support local data backup and restore as per documented process.
• Assist Service Desk/Remote Desktop Support teams for hands-on coordination.
• Decommission old devices with data wiping and disposal coordination as required.

Main Responsibilities include:

• This position assists staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology.


• Provide 1st line IT support to end-users with their computing devices like desktop, laptop, mobile, printers, basic network devices and other IT peripherals, which includes testing, identifying, repairing, resolving, and documenting end user technical issues without violating the hardware warranty or security compliance requirement.


• Reimaging computers/hard drives


• Support the user in local data backup and restore as per the documented process.


• Assist Service Desk/Remote Desktop Support teams for hands and feet coordination efforts.

Decommission old devices, which includes data wiping and coordination for any disposal request

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
