Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Draftsperson to join our established team and support our design and documentation processes in Sydney or Brisbane.

You will work with AutoCAD, Inventor and InDesign to prepare, maintain and update technical manuals and drawings, contributing to new aluminium system development within

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD with Inventor and InDesign or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or façade-related industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce general arrangement drawings for technical manuals and product literature.
• Maintain and update existing manuals, drawings and documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Support design team in developing new aluminium systems and components.
• Contribute to concept designs, detailing and prototyping in the R&D environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented draftsperson to play a key role in supporting our design and documentation processes. Working closely with our experienced designers and product developers, you’ll assist in preparing, maintaining, and updating a range of technical manual documentation used across the business. We are open to candidates based in Sydney and Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce general arrangement drawings for inclusion in technical manuals and product literature.
• Maintain and update existing technical manuals, drawings, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support the design team in the development of new aluminium systems and components.
• Contribute to concept designs, detailing, and prototyping within the R&D environment.

Software Used:

• AutoCAD – for drafting and detailing.
• Autodesk Inventor – for 3D modelling and design development.
• Adobe InDesign – for producing and updating technical documentation.

About You:

• Proficient in AutoCAD with a solid understanding of Inventor and InDesign (or willingness to learn).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation.
