Job summary

Coastal Windows and Doors Pty Ltd in Unanderra NSW is seeking a drafting professional to prepare detailed shop drawings for aluminium windows and doors and support the manufacture and delivery of projects. You will read architectural plans, verify measurements and project specifications, and liaise with customers, builders and architects to ensure drawings reflect requirements.

AutoCAD proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous drafting experience in construction or manufacturing.
• Experience using AutoCAD is required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans.

Job description

Coastal Windows and Doors Pty Ltd – Unanderra NSW

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings and documentation to support the manufacture and delivery of aluminium window and door projects.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing detailed shop drawings for aluminium windows and doors
• Reading and interpreting architectural plans, drawings and specifications
• Reviewing measurements, dimensions and project specifications
• Completing drawing revisions and amendments as required
• Ensuring drawings accurately reflect project and manufacturing requirements
• Liaising with customers, builders, architects and other relevant stakeholders
• Working closely with our internal manufacturing and project teams
• Maintaining accurate project and drawing documentation
• Assisting with general drafting and technical requirements as needed

About you

• Previous drafting experience, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry
• Experience using AutoCAD
• Experience with V6 software is highly regarded but not essential
• Strong skills across the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong general computer and technical skills
• The ability to confidently read and interpret architectural plans
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
