Job summary

FVS Fire is offering a cadetship in our design team in Queensland. You will learn to use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare shop drawings, block plans, tactical fire plans and evacuation diagrams for major projects.

No prior CAD experience is required; we support you through training and a clear career pathway. We welcome engineering students seeking casual work with potential progression into a full cadetship later in their studies, with flexible working arrangements and a modern office at Shailer

Qualifications

• Finishing Year 12, recently finished, or currently studying.
• Interest in design, drafting or engineering.
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, block plans, tactical fire plans and evacuation diagrams for projects.
• Learn to use AutoCAD and Revit with support from the design team.

About the role

This is a cadetship for someone at the start of their career. You will join our design team and learn to use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare shop drawings, block plans, tactical fire plans and evacuation diagrams for projects. You will be trained and supported the whole way through; no prior CAD experience is required.

We are also keen to hear from engineering students who want casual work alongside their degree, with a pathway into a full cadetship later in their studies.
