Job summary

Fire and Safety Industries is seeking a proactive Technical Officer to support our Technical and Product Development team in Brisbane. The role is flexible, potentially part-time or full-time, ideal for someone with strong CAD skills and a mechanical mindset to assist with engineering drawings and documentation.

You will prepare 2D/3D CAD drawings (Autodesk Inventor), help with component design and product development, and ensure documentation complies with regulatory and company requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Experience using CAD and 3D modelling software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong document control and data management skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk software.

• Assist with the preparation of technical documentation and records.
• Ensure technical documentation complies with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, and revision control.
• Provide general administrative support to the Technical Department as required.

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Technical Officer to support our Technical and Product Development team. This role is flexible and could be either part-time or full-time depending on your experience and skill set. It is ideal for someone with strong CAD skills, a mechanical aptitude, and a passion for engineering documentation and product development. The successful applicant will assist with the preparation of technical documentation, engineering drawings, and research and development activities that support the ongoing growth of our product range.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk software.
