Job summary

City FM Australia in Mulgrave is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Engineering team. You will produce detailed AutoCAD and Revit drawings to support mechanical, electrical and refrigeration projects across a national retail portfolio, translating concepts into practical engineering solutions.

Working with engineers, project managers and contractors, you will create drawings from site measurements and project requirements, maintain documentation, and help deliver

• Formal drafting qualification or equivalent industry experience.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Engineering team based at our Support Centre in Mulgrave.

Working closely with Engineers, Project Managers and operational stakeholders, you'll produce detailed AutoCAD and Revit drawings supporting mechanical, electrical and refrigeration projects across a national retail portfolio.

From existing condition drawings and engineering layouts through to schematics and technical documentation, you'll play a key role in transforming concepts into practical engineering solutions. This is a great opportunity to further develop your drafting and design expertise within a collaborative engineering environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed AutoCAD and Revit drawings, models, schematics and technical documentation.
• Develop engineering drawings from site measurements, concepts, sketches and project requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers and contractors throughout project delivery.
• Maintain project drawings, documentation and technical records.
• Support engineering teams with design updates, drafting requests and technical queries.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant drafting qualification, technical trade background or equivalent industry experience.
• Formal training, certification or tertiary studies in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical and/or electrical drafting.
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit drafting and modelling capability.
• Experience producing engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Sound understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or refrigeration systems.
• High attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and compliant drawings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineers, project teams and contractors.
