Job summary

Atom Resources is seeking a Wet & Dry Fire Designer / Drafter in Sydney, NSW, to design compliant Fire Protection systems for major Data Centre, Commercial and Industrial projects. You will work within a modern AutoCAD and Revit environment, collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers, and construction teams to produce detailed documentation and shop drawings.

The role offers a permanent full‑time position with strong career progression and exposure to large-scale, mission-critical

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year within the Fire Protection industry.
• Fire Protection design experience.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Revit experience.
• Ability to produce compliant Fire Protection designs.
• Strong technical understanding of Dry Fire systems.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed Dry Fire and Wet Fire system designs.
• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit documentation.
• Develop Fire Detection, EWIS and VESDA designs.
• Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings and construction documentation.
• Complete design reviews and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
• Interpret architectural, structural and services drawings.
• Attend design coordination meetings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Assist throughout design, procurement and delivery phases.
• Support the successful delivery of major construction projects.

The Role

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Construction Teams, you will be responsible for developing compliant Fire Protection designs and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed Dry Fire and Wet Fire system designs
• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit documentation
• Develop Fire Detection, EWIS and VESDA designs
• Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings and construction documentation
• Complete design reviews and ensure compliance with Australian Standards

• Fire Protection industry experience
• Dry Fire and/or Wet Fire design experience
• Commercial construction project exposure
• Experience producing compliant Fire Protection designs
• Understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
