Job summary

Synergy in Western Australia is seeking a DER Platform Operator on a 12-month fixed-term basis based at Central Park, Perth. You will coordinate DER and VPP fleets, supporting grid reliability and customer value across SWIS.

This role involves day-to-day operations, testing devices, maintenance planning in SAP, and collaboration with contractors and technology partners to ensure on-time, compliant performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Science/IT/Commerce degree or Electrical Trade with further cert.
• 3+ years in electrical energy industry with solar/battery experience.
• Knowledge of DER technologies, communication, monitoring and control platforms.
• Experience managing third-party technology partners/suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and dispatch DER/VPP fleets during activations per contracts.
• Monitor asset performance, identify faults and initiate fixes.
• Test DER devices for functionality and readiness for VPP operations.
• Plan maintenance across DER assets using SAP for work orders.
• Coordinate with contractors and tech providers on maintenance work.
• Review contracts and manage operational and payment processes.
