Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Stand-alone Power Systems Technician for a 12-month fixed-term role in Perth. You will perform complex technical tasks including commissioning and maintenance of SPS units, and validate SAT/FAT against standards and documentation.

The role requires 7–10 years specialist technical experience or related networks/industrial electrical work, with relevant licences, and strong MS Office and sector-specific tools experience. WA driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency required to perform the role.

Responsibilities

• Validate SAT and FAT against Western Power requirements and standards.
• Carry out audits on primary and secondary SPS plant for quality and compliance.
• Assist investigations to improve safety, quality, service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries with clear progress updates.
• Maintain a nimble schedule adaptable to changing conditions and resources.
