Job summary

Spotlight Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is hiring a Casual Summer Sales Assistant to support store operations, drive sales, and maintain high standards.

You will work with a friendly team, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to merchandising and catalogue campaigns. Experience in retail is valued; first aid, IT skills, and a proactive attitude help succeed.

Qualifications

• Strong retail leadership experience preferred.
• Visual merchandising experience desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• IT literacy and adaptability with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations.
• Monitor stock levels and stock recovery in your department.
• Drive sales growth and hit department KPI targets.
• Build and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Lead by example in all areas of the store.
• Manage high volumes of stock efficiently.
• Execute department visual merchandising and standards.
• Plan and launch catalogue campaigns.
• Support stock integrity initiatives to boost department profit.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Store Manager in managing daily operations
• Monitor daily stock recovery in your department
• Achieve sales growth and meet department KPI targets
• Build your team to deliver exceptional customer service
• Lead by example in all areas
• High volume stock management
• Executing department Visual Merchandising and standards
• Launching and planning catalogue campaigns

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strong retail leadership experience preferred
• Visual merchandising experience
• Physically capable to work large volumes of stock and set the pace
• Having an owner's mindsetfor your department
• A passionate attitude that inspires your Team
• A resilient & innovative problem solver
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• IT competency
• First Aid certified or willing to be trained (fully funded)
