1300SMILES Rockhampton is seeking a motivated, full-time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join an established team. You’ll work across surgery and front desk, gaining broad experience in dentistry and patient care.

Previous dental experience is preferred, but we’re happy to train someone with the right attitude and strong reception or customer service background. Training and support are provided, with ample opportunities for career growth within Abano Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant or reception experience in dental or medical setting preferred, not essential
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or willingness to work towards one advantageous
• Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems
• Positive attitude and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine interest in building a long-term career in dentistry

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and oral health therapists chairside during treatment
• Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments before appointments
• Sterilise instruments and follow infection control protocols
• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable during visits
• Manage appointments, recalls and patient records
• Answer calls and patient enquiries
• Support patients with questions around appointments, treatment and payments
• Assist with general administration across the practice
• Work closely with clinical and reception teams to ensure a smooth patient experience

1300SMILES Rockhampton is looking for a motivated and reliable Full-Time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our established team. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people in a fast paced enviroment, takes pride in patient care and is looking to build a long-term career in dentistry.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across both the surgery and front desk, giving you broader experience and a great understanding of how a dental practice operates. Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting our dentists and oral health therapists chairside during treatment
• Preparing treatment rooms and setting up instruments before appointments
• Sterilising instruments and following infection control protocols
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit
• Managing appointment bookings, recalls and patient records
• Answering calls and patient enquiries
• Supporting patients with questions around appointments, treatment and payments
• Assisting with general administration across the practice
• Working closely with the clinical and reception teams to provide a smooth patient experience

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant or Reception experience, ideally within a dental or medical setting (preferred, not essential)
