1300SMILES Rockhampton is seeking a motivated and reliable Full-Time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our established team. This permanent role offers exposure to both chairside and front desk duties within a busy dental practice.

You will gain broad experience across the surgery and reception, with training provided. The ideal candidate has dental or customer service background, a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or willingness to work toward one), strong communication and

Dental assisting or reception experience in a dental/medical setting preferred but not essential.
Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting or willingness to work towards one is advantageous.
Strong communication and computer skills; reliable, team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

Assisting dentists and oral health therapists chairside during treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments before appointments.
Sterilise instruments and follow infection control protocols.
Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable throughout visits.
Manage appointments, recalls and patient records; handle calls and enquiries.
Support patients with questions around appointments, treatment and payments.
Assist with general administration across the practice.
Collaborate with clinical and reception teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
