Job summary

EVT is seeking a dedicated Demi Chef to join our team and support both restaurant operations and event services at Rydges Sydney Central in New South Wales. The role focuses on delivering high standards of food preparation across multiple kitchen sections and collaborating closely with colleagues to meet service goals.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of restaurant or hotel experience, practical knowledge of food safety, and a strong customer‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ worth of experience working in a restaurant, bistro or hotel.
• Experience on multiple sections including larder, fryer and grill.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow kitchen procedures.
• Passion for food preparation and willingness to learn across all kitchen areas.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a professional attitude.
• Comply with hotel policies, WH&S guidelines, and maintain strong product knowledge.
