EVT - Entertainment | Ventures | Travel is seeking a Demi Chef for Atura Dandenong, a full-time position in Melbourne. You will cook to hotel standards, liaise with the Chef de Partie, and help minimise waste while keeping the prep area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Experience in general or specialised cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking.
• Sound knowledge of food products.
• Working knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
• The ability to follow standard operating procedures and hotel policies.
• A professional approach to personal presentation, in line with the hotel's grooming standards.
• A collaborative approach to working with the kitchen and service team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in the kitchen as directed, safely and hygienically, to the Hotel's high quality food standards.
• Liaise daily with the Chef de Partie to set and deliver the day's priorities.
• Complete your work in a timely and efficient way while minimising wastage.
• Keep your work area clean and safe, and follow all workplace health and safety guidelines.
• Follow established standard operating procedures and hotel policies at all times.
• Assist in training and developing junior kitchen team members, and step in for the Chef de Partie when they are absent.
