Job summary

Accor Sydney Olympic Park is seeking a Demi Chef to join Bacar, the award-winning contemporary restaurant, and contribute to Accor’s kitchen team. You will work alongside senior chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences across restaurant, events, and hotel operations.

You will support daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation while maintaining efficient service across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Creative culinary mind with knowledge of local and international trends.
• Ability to work closely with suppliers to source quality products.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roaster, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards.
• Strong experience in à la carte dining and service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mise en place, stock rotation and minimising wastage.
• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in line with brand standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
• Support and guide junior team members, leading by example.
